C-LIGHT 400G QSFP-DD series optical transceiver, whose communication protocols comply with IEEE 802.3/cu/bs/cw and R2.3 coherent standard; interface protocols comply with CMIS Rev5.0; packaging protocols comply with QSFP-DD MSA HW, Open ZR+ MSA R1.0, OIF 400ZR OIF-400ZR-01.0. Including 100m, 500m, 2km, 10km, 20km, 40km, 120km, 300km and 500km+ transmission distances, with a transmission rate of 400Gb/s. This series of optical transceiver are used in data center networks, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, telecommunications OTN networks, telecommunications access networks and 5G communications.

400G QSFP-DD is a high-speed optical transceiver package featuring a "Double Density" design. It achieves a total transmission bandwidth of 400 Gbps through 8 electrical channels, typically employing 50G PAM4 modulation per channel.

400G QSFP-DD is primarily used for high-speed interconnections within data centers, such as between switches and servers. While maintaining physical compatibility with mainstream QSFP28 ports and offering higher port density, this package generally has higher power consumption and more demanding thermal requirements compared to the 400G QSFP112 solution you previously inquired about, which utilizes four 112 Gbps channels.
